Discipleship in Prayer ProgramThe Holy Spirit is establishing a global prayer movement in these very last days. It will far over shadow any other prayer movement in Church history. The Holy Spirit is equipping the Church to partner with Jesus' intercessory prayer ministry. The end result is the Great Harvest of souls being added to the Kingdom of God. The number of people coming to Jesus at the present hour across the nations is unparalleled like no other time in history. I believe this will continue to increase numerically and in both power and intensity. Jesus is not coming back to a prayerless Church rather to one enjoying mature Bridal partnership with Him in intercession for the Great Harvest.I realize that a person can receive a mandate from God. But without personal diraction from God Himself, a man or woman would wander around looking for that which they could not obtain through their own abilities. I realize that even though 1 John 2:27 says, "…the anointing which you have received of him abides in you, and you need not that any man teach you…", the Holy Spirit can and will use someone to reveal the wanderous things of God. I believe a person needs someone to teach him or disciple her in the things of God and the ministery He called us to. Especially when that person has been successful in that specific area of interest. In the last eleven years, I have been priviliged to disciple young men and women who are now pastors, teachers and evangelists in full time ministry. With great joy, God blessed each one with the willingness to submitt and receive diraction. As it were from a father figure who gives his attention and love to his children, each one has left knowing how to pray and disciple another with that same attitude as was given so freely. Prayer is not a calling! Prayer is a lifestyle! Many believers who minister in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ do not pray or disciple other people in prayer and ministry. I do not believe it is because they do not want to pray, but that they themselves have not been discipled in the enjoyment of prayer and fellowship with the Father. I believe that when there is no enjoyment in prayer, and a person has never been discipled in prayer and ministry, the desire to pray will be hindered greatly. I have seen, for example, many churches diract their new converts to pray. And afterwards the new believer has no concept of what prayer is, and no diraction or encouragement of how to pray. Today believers, new or old, continue to desire a intimate relationship with God in prayer. God desires an intimate relationship with His children. Without an intimate relationship with the one we serve, no prepration or discipleship program in the world would prepare you for the work of the great commission and salvation of souls. Without that intimate fellowship how will you know what the Father is doing? Prayer and Fasting is the most vital part of every belivers life. If a person does not pray or does not know how to pray, how can he or she do the work of the one they don't know? No prayer or discipleship program will be successful without personal diraction. This discipleship in prayer program is designed for a 1 to 2 year period. It also may be used successfully as the discipler sees and feels it appropriate for his disciple. This Discipleship in Prayer program is free of charge. There is no cost to you!
