Gallery " Academy " has presented the poster action

The action is devoted
to memory of victims
of Fatal Starvation 1932-33
within the framework
of the project " Light a candle "

The action have carried out:

Tens young graphic designers have joined the action. They were not included in association " 4-th BLOCK " by youth, but ardently support its ideas.

The poster action of association of graphic designers
" 4-th BLOCK "

This big event not only in life of gallery, academy of design and arts, Kharkov, Ukraine, but also all community in general. Event is not political, but ethnic - social.
It mentions deeply personal. You see, it is difficult to find family, whose relatives have not suffered in those heavy times.

Vladimir Ivanovich Lesnjak and Vitaly Nikolaevich Goloborod'ko
have opened an exhibition.
Pro-rector Sergey Ermakov
has shared memoirs of the family.

In a hall it was submitted 53 posters.
It is only a part of works as the exhibition is mobile!
The part of works is sent to the president of Ukraine.
The posters devoted Fatal Starvation, it is a part of the big collection graphics and posters which is in Kharkov. These works belong both to the Ukrainian authors, and authors from all world.

Authors deliberately use reduction FTLSTRVT.
Here there are no vowels,
and it sounds as if someone has silenced you.
In Ukraine starvations were not in general till 30th years of XX century.
10 million Ukrainians have died of artificial starvation.
This fact long time was latent from all world.

The exhibition has drawn attention of youth.
It proves, that to us the past of our people is not indifferent.
You see people which does not remember the past - people without
the future.
On original altars in the form of a cross candles are lit...
All have honoured by minute of silence memory of innocent victims.
